Introduction:
It's the passion for music which bring to the lutherie. i knew the guitar, almost like everyone, but it's in highschool that I really discovered the instrument by a friend who was a guitar player. A few times later, in reading a guitar magazine, I came across an article devoted to the lutherie.
It was explained how to build a guitar but not in detail. I wanted to learn more, so I began to look at internet and in specialized books to know how a guitar was working, what type of wood used, tools, etc... And then, I started.
I built my first guitar, and then a second, a third, etc... And it's from there was born my passion for the lutherie: the woodwork, the acoustic, handling tools, varnishing ...
I learned self-taught for several years and in 2013 I had the chance to working with Benoit de Bretagne, a famous Luthier in France (Bernieulles - Pas de Calais). I worked on many different instruments (electric guitars, bass, acoustic, classical, ukulele, banjo ...) from the cheaper guitar to the big brands (Gibson, Fender Martin, Taylor, etc ...) either for settings, repair, restoration, and also involved in the manufacture of Benoit guitars.
Back in Brittany where I came from, I opened my workshop early in 2015 in a small village between Dinan and St-Malo.
Since then, about 150/200 instruments come to the workshop each year for various repairs and set-up. But it is also guitars made for customers all over the world! (France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Uk, Japan, USA, Australia, Guadeloupe...)
